I flick my forked tongue to taste the air. This earth is the indication of how I move. I have adapted past beyond the need for legs. I respond to my surroundings and use them to nourish me. I am a tube of muscle and skin and as I am a creature defined by my environment, haptics enables my movement and
momentum.
