This two-person collaboration emerged from the similarities between happenstance doppelgängers, Paige Silverman and Georgia Robenstones. The relationship between the two artists became allegorical for intertwined spaces of second glances, collective and personal déjà vu, doubling, and reversing—explored through this multimedia installation.

The hand-stitched cutouts reveals a two-channel video of Paige and Georgia piercing each other’s ears in a recreation of Lindsay Lohan’s 1998 version of ‘The Parent Trap’. Cast  plaster tiles bear text from the film referencing the complication of oneness in two bodies, hang museologically on the walls, embellished sparingly with diamantes.

Right Down the Middle was a two person collaborative exhibition and was curated by Edward Gwyn Jones.
